📚 Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess:

  • A three-year full-time Diploma in any of the following disciplines:
    • Electrical
    • Electronics
    • Instrumentation
    • Mechanical
    • Production
    • Metallurgical

These diplomas must be obtained from an institution recognized by AICTE or UGC.

Additionally, diploma holders from:

  • R D Tata Technical Education Centre, Jamshedpur
  • J N Tata Technical Education Centre, Gopalpur
  • Tata Steel Technical Institute, Burmamines

are also eligible to apply.

Not Eligible: Candidates with part-time, correspondence, or distance learning qualifications.


🛠️ Mandatory Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a Steel Manufacturing Plant or Electric Arc Furnace Plant as of 1st May 2025, post-diploma certification.


🧾 Marks Criteria

  • General Candidates: Minimum 55% aggregate marks in Diploma Engineering.
  • SC/ST/Female/Transgender/PwD Candidates: Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Diploma Engineering.

🎂 Age Limit

  • General Candidates: Born on or after 1st May 1993.
  • SC/ST/Female/Transgender/PwD Candidates: Born on or after 1st May 1990.

💸 Salary and Emoluments

  • Starting Basic Salary: ₹13,500/month
  • CTC: Approximately ₹5.06 LPA
  • The position offered is Jr. Engineer I (NL-D grade).
  • Additional benefits are provided as per TATA Steel’s HR policies.
  • Candidates with 4 or more years of experience may receive higher compensation.

🌍 Domicile

  • Candidates across India are eligible.
  • Preference will be given to candidates from Punjab.

📝 Selection Procedure

  1. Written Test and Interview (each stage is eliminatory).
  2. Employees from Tata Group or subsidiaries must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the interview.
  3. Medical Examination: All selected candidates must meet the company’s medical fitness standards.
  4. Background Verification: Conducted before appointment.
  5. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the selection process.
