Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (4-year Engineering course) in relevant disciplines from a recognized University/Institute/College with Pass Class.

Age Limit

• Upper Age Limit: 28 years as on 01.09.2025 for General/EWS candidates.
• Relaxation:
• OBC (NCL): 3 years
• SC/ST: 5 years
• PwBD: 10 years (in addition to category relaxation)

Salary Structure

• 1st Year: ₹30,000 per month
• 2nd Year: ₹35,000 per month
• 3rd Year (if extended): ₹40,000 per month
• Additional allowance: ₹12,000 annually for medical insurance, attire, footwear, etc.
• Area allowance: 10% of salary if posted outside BEL locations

Tenure & Career Growth

• Initial appointment: 2 years, extendable by 1 year (maximum 3 years).
• Eligible Trainee Engineers can be advanced to Project Engineer-I after 2 years, subject to performance.
• Retention Bonus: ₹1,00,000 after 4 years as Project Engineer

Selection Procedure

1. Written Test (at Bengaluru):
• Duration: 90 minutes
• Questions: 85 (Technical + General Aptitude)
• Negative Marking: 0.25 per wrong answer
• Qualifying Marks:
• UR/EWS/OBC: 35%
• SC/ST/PwBD: 30%
