Rape Case Kolkata Law College (Today): A serious incident has shaken South Kolkata, where a 24-year-old female law student has alleged that she was gang-raped inside the premises of South Calcutta Law College. The crime reportedly occurred on Wednesday evening, and three individuals have been arrested in connection with the case.
Key Details of the Incident (Student gang-raped in Kolkata) :
- According to the FIR, the assault took place between 7:30 PM and 10:50 PM on June 26 inside the security guard room of the college.
- The woman had gone to the college earlier in the day, around 12 noon, to complete formalities related to examination paperwork.
- She initially waited in the college union room before being allegedly led to the guard room, where the assault occurred.
- Shockingly, the main gate of the college was reportedly locked during the incident.
The Accused:
Police have arrested three individuals:
- Manojit Mishra (31) – Former student of the college and currently the General Secretary of Trinamool Congress Chhatra Parishad (TMCP), South Kolkata District.
- Zaib Ahmed (19) – A current first-year student.
- Pramit Mukherjee (20) – Another student at the same institution.
The survivor has claimed that videos were recorded during the assault and that she was threatened with the release of those recordings.

- The three accused were produced in court on Thursday and have been remanded to five days in police custody for further interrogation.
