Educational Qualification
- MD/DNB in General Medicine from an institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) (formerly Medical Council of India).
Experience Required
- Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience in general practice after completing MD/DNB.
Age Limit
- Upper Age Limit: 37 years as on the last date of application.
- Relaxations:
- SC/ST – 5 years
- OBC (NCL) – 3 years
- PwBD – 10 years (in addition to category relaxation)
- Ex-Servicemen – as per Government of India rules
Salary / Pay Scale
- Candidates selected in E3 Grade (₹70,000 – ₹2,00,000) with MD/DNB qualification.
- Those selected in E4 Grade (₹70,000 – ₹2,00,000) with 3+ years of relevant experience after MD/DNB.
- Additional benefits include Dearness Allowance (DA), HRA/company accommodation, medical facilities, performance-linked incentives, terminal benefits, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must be an Indian National.
- Must hold valid NMC Registration Certificate.
- Must meet prescribed educational and experience requirements.
- Final appointment is subject to medical examination by NTPC’s Board of Doctors.
Selection Procedure
- Shortlisting based on eligibility criteria.
- Interview (either in-person or online depending on situation).
- Final selection will be based on performance in interview and verification of documents.
