DRDO Recruitment 2025: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has announced a walk-in interview for the recruitment of Apprentices at Solid State Physics Laboratory (SSPL), Timarpur, Delhi. This is a one-year apprenticeship opportunity under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for ITI, Diploma, and Graduate candidates.

Vacancy Details

• Total Vacancies: 49
• Categories of Apprenticeship:
1. ITI Apprentice
• Trades: Fitter, Electronics Mechanic, Electrician, COPA, Machinist
• Qualification: ITI (First Division) + Class 10th with 70% and above
• Stipend: ₹9,600 per month
2. Diploma Apprentice
• Fields: Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science
• Qualification: Diploma (First Division) + Class 10th with 70% and above
• Stipend: ₹10,900 per month
3. Graduate Apprentice
• Fields: Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Computer Science, B.A./B.Com., or B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Communication, VLSI, Chemical Engineering
• Qualification: First Division degree from a recognized University/Institution
• Stipend: ₹12,300 per month

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have completed B.Sc./B.E./B.Tech./Diploma/ITI/B.A./B.Com. in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025.
• Candidates who passed before 2021 are not eligible.
• Only regular candidates are eligible.
• Must be registered on:
  • NATS portal (https://nats.education.gov.in) for Diploma & Graduate candidates.
  • Apprenticeship Portal (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) for ITI candidates.

Age Limit

• As per Apprenticeship Act and Government norms (with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD).

Selection Process

• Selection will be based on Written Test / Interview / Both.
• Candidates must bring:
• Original documents + ID proof (Aadhaar, Driving License, PAN, Passport).
• Two sets of photocopies and passport-size photographs.

Training Period

• Duration: 12 months
